Due
to the success of this transplant and my improving fitness
I intend to continue with my fund raising expeditions.
Through these challenges I aim to:
~
Raise public awareness of kidney related
issues.
~ Increase the number of people on the
organ donation register.
~ Give hope and inspiration to other
renal and transplanted patients.
~ Raise fund’s on behalf of Kidney Research
"Four
Peaks Cycle Challenge"
In May 2006 I cycled
between each of the four highest mountains within the
British Isles and climbed each peak, a distance of over
500 miles which took 3 weeks to complete. During this
journey I visited renal and transplant units en route.
The
four peaks are:
Scotland
England
Wales
N. Ireland |
Ben
Nevis
Scafell
Snowdon
Slieve Donnard |
1344m
964m
1085m
847 m |
This
year I will undertake a series of events which come
under the umbrella of “Challenge
2007”
